Windows 10: Mail and Calendar icon is blank, and the app crashes a few seconds after running.

I have a Windows 10 Home 64-bit, in a Dell Inspiron, with Kaspersky Total Security antivirus. A few days ago, the Mail and Calendar app icons became blank, and now the applet crashes a few seconds after running it.


I have tried uninstalling the antivirus, resetting the app, using the chkdsk and restorehealth commands on the PowerShell as an admin, creating a new account, and now I've just got an inplace upgrade. But the problem remains exactly the same.


I have no restore points before that, as Windows 10 apparently likes to erase them almost immediately after they're created.


Do you have any ideas of what else I can try?

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused

Windows 10 Mail and Calendar app completely disappeared

I was using my computer, then Mail crashed. I tried to reopen, but the icon went blank and a window showed up for a split second before crashing. I tried Calendar too, and it still has its icon, but it also crashes.

The icon for Mail went blank before, but it didn't crash and eventually went back to normal.

But now, even after restarting, Mail and Calendar are both still crashing.
