    Mail App and RSS Feeds

Odd question, is the mail app capable of adding RSS feeds to it like Outlook? I'm old school and like my news delivered via RSS *Smile I read somewhere about adding feeds to IE within 10, and they are supposed to show up automatically in the mail app but it doesn't work for me...this is on an RTM win 10.

    :)

  2. RSS Feeds keep changing to unread

    Hi,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

I would like to know on which Outlook version does the issue persists?

Note: The below steps is applicable for Outlook 2010 and above.

Why does an RSS Feed that I delete in Outlook keep reappearing?

Deleting an RSS Feed in Outlook 2013 doesn’t remove the RSS Feed from the Common Feed List. If Common Feed List synchronization is turned on, an RSS Feed deleted in Outlook reappears if it remains on the Common Feed List.

To remove an RSS Feed that reappears after you delete it in Outlook — you must do one of the following:

    • Keep the RSS Feed only in Windows Internet Explorer Turn off synchronization with the Common Feed List in Windows, and then unsubscribe from the RSS Feed in Outlook.
    • Remove the RSS Feed in both Outlook and Windows Internet Explorer Delete the RSS Feed in both Outlook and Windows Internet Explorer.
    Unsubscribe and delete all content

    1. In Mail, in the Navigation Pane, expand the RSS Feeds folder.

    2. Select the folder for the RSS Feed, and then press DELETE.

    3. When prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

    Unsubscribe and keep downloaded content

    1. Click the File tab.

    2. Click Account Settings, and then click Account Settings.

    3. On the RSS Feeds tab, under Feed Name, click the RSS Feed, and then click
    Remove.

Note: To cancel multiple RSS Feeds, press and hold CTRL as you click RSS Feed names.

    4. When prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

Remove the RSS Feed in both Outlook and Windows Internet Explorer

    1. In the Folder Pane, under RSS Feeds, right-click the RSS Feed that you want to delete, and then click
    Delete Folder.

    2. In Windows Internet Explorer, click the Favorites button.

    3. On the Feeds tab, right-click an RSS Feed.

    4. Click Delete.

    5. When prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

Hope the above information helps. Reply with necessary information and the result to help you further.

    Thank you.

    Hi Forum,

Further to using https://USERNAME:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***/mail/feed/atom to retrieve gmail headers, does anyone know of a mobile RSS reader that can support HTTPS?

I realise I could set-up the default Nokia mailbox to retrieve e-mails but until Google provide an update to their gmail.com/app, thought using an RSS reader in the interim to view various feeds at the same time would serve my requirements.
