Windows 10: Mail app in windows stopped giving notifications yet again

No notifications in mail for about a week and a bit.Reset, uninstalled, tried other devices and this is happening on all.Background refresh IS enabled and always has been.When you close the mail app, notifications stop. This once happened before and it took about 3 months to get it fixed due to how MS fix bugs which is relying on feedback hub upvotes.Seems to be affecting TONS of people, just check feedback hub!LOTS of people have the same issue on feedback hub but MS don't do anything unless they get lots of upvotes so PLEASE upvote these on feedback hub. Many have just 1 vote so nothing will

Mail app not receiving notifications

Hi Dave,

It seems that the Mail app is not running in the background. To show the app in the "Notifications & Actions" settings page, we suggest running it in the background. To do so, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + i to open Settings, then select
  Privacy.
  
• In the left pane, select Background apps.
• Under Let apps run in the background, toggle the switch to turn on or off the background apps.
  
• Once you're done, you may now turn on the Mail app in the "Notifications & Actions" settings page to get notifications.

Can't stop E-mail notifications!

Every time a thread I've written on gets a reply, I get an e-mail. I get over 50 e-mails a day!
I tried stopping it in the user options by choosing the option of not sending e-mail notifications, but it has not worked!

Somebody help me.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
