    Mail App missing As items arrvie option


    Hello*Smile

    I have a sky email which is Yahoo when i go into sync i dont have a option "As items arrive" if i setup a gmail account i get this option. I have even gone so far to uninstall the mail app and install it again but its still missing,Ive tried it on the yahoo and other account both times its missing.

    Anyone know how to get this option or know why its not appearing.

    does anybody have the option to check for messages, and receive notifications "As items arrive"?

    Your replies had nothing to do with what he asked for -

    As Items Arrive option is missing. - because there is no option on your email account for IMAP / push like Gmail uses.

    So instead of the (Download New Email) option minimum of 15 Minutes - I would like it to be 1 Minutes or 5 Minutes. Then I would receive my emails sooner - why would someone make it 15 minutes????

    You could try setting the account up manually with these settings:
    imap.tools.sky.com SSL on Port 993
    smtp.tools.sky.com SSL on Port 465

    Hi

    No that doesn't give me the option,Im pretty sure its got something to do with Yahoo because Gmail gives me the option and ive just tried another email service GMX and i also get the "As items arrive" So has anyone got a yahoo account? I even made another email account with Yahoo and still no As items arrive.

    Ive giving up im sure its yahoo thats the problem,So now i have two email address in the mail app,One is the yahoo and the the other is gmail,How do i make the gmail email the default one?
