Mail app stopped giving notifications while closed

I have used the mail app for many years with no real issues. For the last few weeks, I don't get any notifications when the mail app is closed even with background app refresh on.I am using Windows 10 with all the latest updates and patches via windows update.I found other posts on here saying the same so this is a lot of people it is affecting!I made a post on the feedback hub so if people can vote on that, they might fix it as that is what they use to find bugs but they seem to ignore things without many votes so please vote! Here is my post on the feedback hub about this: https://aka.ms/AAga

    :)

    Can't stop E-mail notifications!

    Every time a thread I've written on gets a reply, I get an e-mail. I get over 50 e-mails a day!
I tried stopping it in the user options by choosing the option of not sending e-mail notifications, but it has not worked!

    Somebody help me.

    Mail app not receiving notifications

    Hi Dave,

It seems that the Mail app is not running in the background. To show the app in the "Notifications & Actions" settings page, we suggest running it in the background. To do so, please follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + i to open Settings, then select
      Privacy
      .
    • In the left pane, select Background apps.
    • Under Let apps run in the background, toggle the switch to turn on or off the background apps.
    • Once you're done, you may now turn on the Mail app in the "Notifications & Actions" settings page to get notifications.

Feel free to post back with the result for further assistance.

(SOLVED/CLOSED)looking for help with Android phone CONSTANT wireless signal notification

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.
