Windows 10: Mail client

Discus and support Mail client in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; After windows10 update on 4 aug 2020 I am getting the following message on start up: Either their is no default mail client or the current mail...     Mail client


    After windows10 update on 4 aug 2020 I am getting the following message on start up:


    Either their is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the message request. Please run outlook and set as default client.


    I went to outlook2019, file, general, startup and outlook is set as the default mail client.


    Any suggestions

    Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Mail client :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    Default Mail Client

    I had to Dban my desktop last week after a friend was on it while I was out of town. Now--when I use my main e-mail, and try to send a e-mail, I get this message --this can not be completed because the default mail client is not properly installed. Can anybody help or explain this to me ?? It's a new 1 on me !!
