Windows 10: Mail displays wrong sender address from forwarded email

I set up my foxmail account to forward emails to the outlook account, but the in Windows Mail, the sender email address is weird. It looks like it is some auto-forwarding account. When I click replay, it does recognize the actual sender email. Just not displaying it in the view mode.The problem only appears in the Windows Mail app. Outlook web displays the proper sender email.Any idea of how to fix it?

Windows 7 Phone Reply does not display email address

When I receive an email from POP 3 account and try to reply, the TO: email address is blank and have to retype the email address of the person who orginally sent the email.

I followed the steps below.

Gettting email with strange characters in senders address

Started getting these a week or so ago, again. We use Windows Live Mail on this system for e-mail. Sometimes they show in the Junk folder and sometimes in the inbox folder. If the subject line looks strange, we just open the properties on it and look at the sender. You can add the sender's domain to the blocked sender's list, but our ISP uses a third party for the e-mail service so I sign on to that server and block the domain name there with a wild card * (*@domain name.xxx). Never hear from that spammer address again.

 

How to check the properties of a senders email in mail app

As per the information you have provided, I would like to inform that you can see/view the properties or details in mail app only after you save the contacts onto your list. You can however click or hover on the sender name which will display his email address.

Keep in mind that mail app cannot display in depth details about the sender as compared to your Windows Live Mail. Having stated so, I suggest that you share your suggestions and concerns in our Feedback app regarding the same so that our developers can
work toward enhancing the Windows 10 experience.
