    Mail doesnt notify new emails from gmail when the app is closed


    I synced my gmail account with the Mail app, I wanna windows show me the notifications in real time but the problems is, It only notify me when i open the Mail app, Sync Options is on, Chrome is allowed in action center, Desktop Notification Is on (gmail setting), Chrome Notification also is enable for gmail, I wont receive any desktop or Mail app notification, Any idea?

    How to stop windows 10 action center from notifying me whenever I receive an email?

    I linked gmail and live with the mail app (not outlook) in windows 10, I want the action center to stop notifying me whenever I get a new email because I have a gmail checker and I don't care about emails I receive on my live mail.

    How to stop windows 10 action center from notifying me whenever I receive an email? If possible, I'd like to stop notification from gmail and live mail but not other email accounts, if that's not possible, then I'd like to stop all email notifications.

    I went this route and added passwords for yahoo mail. I might try this method above to get gmail to buck up! *Tongue

    @Bastet, this is probably what you were referring to the whole time.


    YAHOO MAIL FIX
    2FA needs to be enabled which it already was and just follow these steps below.

    1. In yahoo mails account security, click on manage app passwords.

    2. After selecting other app and entering the new app name in the text box

    3. Now, in Windows 10 mail app, add this type of account.

    4. In Windows 10 mail app, enter your details and the password generated by step 2.

    Fully functional mail app again.

    Yes, once 2-factor authentication is enabled you should then create the app specific password & enter it instead of the account password.
