Windows 10: Mail for Windows 10: How to Make Messages Go to Outbox to be Sent Manually Later?

I'm trying to learn the Mail program to see if it's better than Outlook. The Help information with the Mail program is extremely poor. You can't find the answers to simple questions. For example, I want to know how to instruct Mail not to send my emails or replies directly, but to put them in Outbox first, so that I can choose when to send them manually. I can do this in Outlook, but I don't see any way of doing it in Mail.Also, I don't like having to click on the "More" button to see all my folders. I would like them all to show on the left, all the time. The way it is set up, I can nev

Remove Gmail's Outbox from Mail in Windows 10

The Outbox Folder temporarily holds messages that you send until Windows Mail
delivers them, where they are held until sent.

Gmail doesn't have such a folder, since messages just enter a "sending" state,
until send is successful, and when done are to be found under "Sent mail".

So Outbox is just a functional box that denotes a "sending" state,
and does not relate to any folder on Gmail.
This is just the way Mail works, and messages are not supposed to stay long
in the Outbox.

Outbox itself cannot be removed, and doesn't need to be.

 

Windows 10 Mail app - Email no longer in "Outbox" but not in "Sent Items"

TL;DR--I sent an email via the Windows 10 Mail app--It didn't send and it isn't in my outbox/sent items. Does anyone know if the Mail app stores stuck emails in a file- or folder-based storage so that I can copy and resend the message?

With more detail: I sent an email with the Windows 10 built-in Mail App (Modern App) to my Yahoo/IMAP-based account. Unfortunately, prior to sending the email, I had enabled two-step authentication on my Yahoo account but didn't change the Mail
app's connection settings to update it with an App Password. Subsequently, when I sent the mail it went to an outbox and disappeared, but the email didn't get sent. I'm looking to see if there is a way to retrieve mails that are lost in this manner.

Sent e-mail problem on Outlook Mail for Windows 10

Hi ....sorry for the delay in responding.

• I am using Outlook Mail for Windows 10 and cannot send e-mails. They all end up in "Drafts" folder.
• I periodically reboot the computer, so I'm sure there was a Windows update and it might have occurred just prior to the problem.
• I'm not receiving any error messages.
• I went to Outlook.com on the web and successfully sent e-mails, with and without pic attachments to my e-mail address *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, the same account on Outlook Mail for Windows 10.

As an aside, I also use Windows Live Mail and it will not send an e-mail with a pic attachment. Instead, it sends it to the "Outbox" folder. Until that entry is deleted in the Outbox folder, no e-mails can be sent. Once deleted, e-mails sans pics can
be sent I'd love to have a fix for that.
