Windows 10: Mail server settings

Every few months, I have to go through the process of re-learning how to restore or update my mail server settings since my e-mail fails when trying to send a picture from Lightroom Classic. It seems like each time I need to do this it just gets worse and worse, I can't seem to even get to my mail server settings anymore. I don't use the computer much anymore except for photo editing, and cannot for the life of me figure out what changed to disable my e-mail through that program. Updates, resets, anything I can think of, doesn't work. I'm lost, technology is passing me by.

How do I get windows 8 mail to connect with my godaddy email....there is no option for a POP server...needed for my godaddy account to link

To set up Windows Live Mail with your email, you need to know your POP or IMAP Email Server Settings and ports. You may follow these steps to setup your email account in Windows 8 mail:

1. Open Windows 8 Mail by clicking on the Mail tile in the Start menu.
2. Hover the mouse cursor in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Accounts, and then click Add an account and configure the server and port settings.

On my mail on my Inbox-Linked inbox-mail It says Error code 0x85002012

To resolve the error message 0x85002012, we suggest turning off "Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection". To do so, follow the steps below:

• Go to Settings of Mail.
• Click Accounts.
• Select your e-mail account.
• Disable Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
