  1. Mail setup Windows 10 Build 10.0.17763 not pulling in email

Last week my problem with setting Mail in Windows 10 was solved here. I liked it so much I decided to use it on friends computer running Windows 10 Edge. I followed the instructions and I was able to send an email successfully but it did not pull in emails to the Inbox from the roadrunner acct. the friend uses. The only difference I see is that my machine runs a different build of Windows 10...could this be the problem?

I've deleted the acct in Mail and restarted the machine and set up from the beginning per the instructions:

    Suggestions?

    Thanks

    g

p.s. in poking around else where on friends device I see email that looks like it is from Outlook but he does NOT use Outlook.

    :)

Contacts 'hidden' on Windows 10 Mail

A problem presents itself in Windows 10 when your contacts list has two or more people with the same email address. With the Win 7 and previous contact lists, you could pull up the list while in Mail and designate the proper recipient. With Win 10, you
can't pull up the contact list to choose the right address; the program selects one for you. You want to send mail to John Doe, but Mail will only address it to Jane Doe.

This is a step backward in functionality. Why should the latest OS step backward?

Mail setup Windows 10 Build 10.0.17763 not pulling in email

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
