Windows 10: Mail Windows 10

I have a strange occurrence that is happening when I send an email through "mail Windows 10". For example, the most recent example is that I was viewing a product on Amazon and I wanted to share it with my husband, I clicked on the option to email him the info. I have a Gmail account, but when you send through a third party it uses Mail Windows 10. For some reason when it showed in his email, it shows my display name as "I would like to know where to buy your gift bags? I live in Westfield, IN 46074" attached to my gmail account. This DOES NOT happen when I send an email directly from my Gmail account. I have checked my display name on Microsoft and it shows my name correctly. The strange thing is "I would like to know where to buy your gift bags? I live in Westfield, IN 46074" is in the body of an email that I sent in 2019. What the heck is going on? Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? This also happened to me, a few months ago when I was applying for jobs and sent requests to my friends for a reference, quite embarrassing that my email was sent from Glassdoor to them showing my display name as this. I really need this to go away.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!
