Windows 10: Mailbox/Calendar app revisited!

Hi again and Happy New Year, I have been looking at some old posts back in September 23. It was about the “Mailbox/Calendar app and the “New Outlook” mail app. Like myself people were contacting the community about the “New Outlook” taking over from the mailbox app. At the time messages were popping up to get you to try the “New Outlook” app. In my own experience a message eventually said “next time you launch Mailbox we will install the New Outlook”! I ignored this message but sure enough that is what happened! I opened the Mailbox and Outlook was installed no questions asked! I eventually ga

Calendar/Mailbox app !

Good morning Mosken, thanks for replying to my problem. I am actually a bit of a maintenance freak (always updating and maintenance checks etc). Although I use Power shell for things like "scannow" I can't seem to get "windows terminal" with Windows 10 ! I will probably have to get in from the Microsoft store ! In the meantime I have "reset" the Mailbox app and everything seems ok ! Also over the months I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Would you suggest I should try and download the "Windows terminal" app ? I have also read that eventually the Mailbox/calendar app will be replaced by the new Outlook app !

I have tried typing "Windows terminal" in the search box but nothing comes up !

Removing Mailbox/Calendar app !

Hi again, just some information about removing Mailbox/Calendar app ! I decided to try the new Outlook mail app (which keeps popping up in Mailbox/Calendar. I did not like it for a start, but after some great feedback from John J.D I kept it. The main problem was the Mailbox/Calendar app opened briefly when I opened New Outlook. It was like one app on top of another! I was advised to remove the Mailbox/Calendar which I did. It left two blank spaces on my tile screen Mail & Calendar and no Outlook!! I went back into the "Store" and put it back again. I realised later the New Outlook was still in my menu to the left of the tile screen! This time I made the New Outlook a live tile before uninstalling the Mailbox app! Everything OK now.

Just a thought if someone does the same has me !
