Main display different from settings when selecting 'PC screen only'

Hello,I have three monitors connected to my PC running Windows 11. On one of my monitors, shown as screen number 3, I also have my laptop connected. From time to time I need to switch the image to the laptop instead of to my main PC. If I just change the input signal from DP to HDMI the applications that are open on monitor 3 remain there and are hidden because my PC is still connected to the monitor of course. I would need to manually drag all the applications and windows to either monitor 1 or 2 and THEN switch the input signal. I thought the solution would be to simply WIN+P my way to 'PC

    :)

  2. Screen shut down at different intervals

    Hi David,

This has something to do with the Display settings of your Computer.

To set when the Turn off the Display, follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start button on the desktop, then select Settings.
    • Open PC and devices (or System).
    • Select Power and sleep.
    • Under Screen, choose Never from the dropdown list.

This should prevent your screen from turning off at different intervals.

    Regards.

  3. Screen shut down at different intervals

Thank you Ron; but that is the first thing I did when I installed the operating system. That was the fist thing I did on any operating system I installed. Even though, I did it again just to make sure; no luck. Besides, the screen "shuts off" at different
times. I believe it a Malware program. Any suggestions?

    I appreciate your help,

    David

Main display different from settings when selecting 'PC screen only'

    4870x2 won't display at 1680x1050 at all!

OK. Now I know what ur problem is. Step by step:
    1. Go to Catalyst Control Center
    2. Click on the word "Graphic" right on top left corner. It will display drop down menu
    3. Click on Display monitor and will see the list of monitor at near bottom
    4. Right Click the monitor and select "Configure". It will show up the window
    5. There will be 3 option to select. Select the middle one and then click on the tab which show the bar with 15%.
    6. Drag the bar to max, and the screen will stretch to the native resolution 1680x1050.
    7. Also click the tab with showing RGB drop down list and select the last one (it will change to image quality for pc).
    That's it. Good Luck.
