    'Maintenance' throughout the day in the Action Center ... Why?


    'Maintenance' seems to be always running on my Windows 8.1 Lenovo G50 laptop. It is set to run at a specific time 5 am. I thought there should be NO support for this version of Windows. So I keep turning it off during the day via the Action Center. Anything I can try to stop this? All reports in this Action Center listed as OK.

    'Maintenance' throughout the day in the Action Center ... Why?

    Action Center is built into the 8.1 operating system.

    Under Maintenance in Action Center > Check for solutions to problem reports > Settings > you can alter settings there.

    Action Center

    Hi,

    Let's follow these steps to disable action center:

    • Click on Start, type notifications in the search box.
    • In the list, select notifications & action settings.
    • On the right side, click on turn system icons on or off.
    • Turn off action center from there.
