Windows 10: Major difference between win10 1709 and later w10 version?

Recently I came across an older ISO, namely w10 v1709 and I gave it a go. Low and behold the while install went thru without a glitch and I'm now typing happily on the setup. My daughter's been playing a few games on it and no issue. Installed the latest GPU drivers and did MOST of the wiindows updat

WDDM version empty in Win10 Fall Creators Update

GPU-Z 2.4.0 shows empty version string instead of "WDDM 2.3" in Win10 1709 (Fall Creators Update):

I have 2 laptops (DEll Inspiron very recent ). the "Save and send" commands worked on both until Win10 was auto updated from Version 1703 to 1709 on one laptop which now gives the error. As I said other applications also give problems eg. cannon navigator
"scan to e-mail".

You suggested "you do not have MAPI email client" ? How do I get it? The fact that everything worked in Version 1703 and before does that not imply that the MAPI e-mail client is on my computer? If I restore my system to earlier version "Save and Send"
in word works again.

 

Unable to update Window 10 Pro version 1607 to version 1709

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1607 to the latest version 1709 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

• Updated drivers
• Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
• Unplugged the printer
• Ran the DISM.exe

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

• 0xc1900101 - 0x30018
• 0x900704c7

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.
