Windows 10: Major Disk usage with Dell Laptop

Hey everyone,


I've had this problem with this laptop since I've gotten it. Background processes tend to randomly spike and cause 100% disk usage, which causes major performance issues. I use this laptop to play games and do college essay work, and often times it'll lock up or even blue-screen at random intervals. I've tried closing active apps, uninstalling some of the extraneous processes, and limiting what I have active at once. But this problem continues to persist, and gets worse whenever I'm using any intensive programs.

100% disk usage on dell inspirion laptop

Hi I have inspirion 5459 dell laptop.

i see on task manager almost permanently 100% disk usage which makes my laptop very very slow.

tried many things including disable search and fetch but nothing helped..

100% Disk Usage and crashed laptop

I am using Dell Inspiron i3-5200 with 4 Gb RAM. All the applications in my laptop work perfectly fine but as soon as I start Microsoft Edge it also starts One Drive and the disk usage goes from 2% to 100%
in couple of seconds and boom my laptop is gone. I have scanned my laptop many times for any virus or trojans, but there is nothing like it. All the applications work perfectly but only microsoft edge is the problem.

Please suggest a working solution for this problem or how to re-install microsoft edge! Thankyou.
