    make a shortcut to Run as a different user


    The company I work for has a group policy setting that makes it so that "run as administrator" doesn't work when I'm logged in as a normal user. I don't get prompted to enter a username and password for my "T2" admin account.However, I can shift-right-click on something and choose "Run as a different user".Is there any way to make a shortcut that will automatically "run as a different user" and prompt me for the admin password when I'm logged in with my normal account?This was child's play back with XP where that was the only way to do this, and "run as administrator" didn't exit until Vista.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.


    • Right Click on the FL studio application shortcut.

    • Select properties.

    • Under shortcuts select advanced.

    • Check the box Run as administrator and check if it helps.

    Hello

    You mentioned checking the the box 'Run as Administrator'

    This is the opposite of what I require ,I wanted to avoid running programs as admin . By unchecking 'Run As Administrator' I am still getting an admin credential verification prompt

    Any further suggestions ?

    Thank you for updating us on the issue.

    To understand the issue better, I would like to know are you trying to create shortcut for all user?

    If you are trying to create shortcut for all user try the below steps and check.


    • Click on start menu and select
      file explorer      .

    • Click on OS(Cmake a shortcut to Run as a different user :) and click on user folder.

    • Click on view on top of the right pane and check on
      Hidden item box.

    • Now you can copy and paste the shortcut that you want on the folder.
