  1. Make an application launch on a specific monitor?

I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 and recently moved up to a dual monitor setup. Tbh it's something I didn't even really know I needed until I had it, but I digress. I have my left monitor set as my main and the right as the secondary. I typically use the left for web browsing, games, etc. And the right monitor is mainly used for chat programs like Discord. I have Discord set to launch on startup, but it always launches on the primary monitor. Is there any way to make specific programs open up on a specific monitor while having the rest open on my main? It's not super irritating, but it would be nice to not have to click and drag Discord to the other monitor after it loads or press Win+Shift+Right.

    Thanks

    :)

How to always allow administrator permissions for a specific application

    Hi Lyon,

Windows 10 gives users the ability to customize how they run applications. We suggest that you follow the steps below on how to grant administrator permission to a specific application:

    • Click the Windows icon on your Windows 10 screen that will open the list of applications. Right click on the specific application that you wish to have an admin permission, click the
More and click Open file location.
    • A new window will open to the location of the program. Right-click on the program and click
      Properties from the pop-up menu.
    • In the Properties window, click the Shortcut tab and then click
      Advanced.
    • In the Advanced Properties window, check the box next to
      Run as administrator
      and click OK.
    • The program will now open in administrator mode when you click the shortcut from the Start menu. Repeat the steps above for other desired applications.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

  4. Make an application launch on a specific monitor?

Launching applications on multiple monitors in Windows 10

So I updated to Windows 10 on my HP Envy, no problems, the upgrade worked and all in all doing well but I was surprised by the multiple monitor support. So I now have 4 monitors, a high resolution graphics tablet, the HP touchscreen, and 2 21" monitors (yeah,
sorry, uber geek I suppose). So now I have the application bar across the bottom of all the monitors but if I click on an app to load it on the app bar on one monitor it opens on a different monitor (i.e. no matter what monitor the cursor is on and thus launched
the application from the start menu on that monitor the application launches on the main monitor). Sometimes apps remember the last monitor they ran on and sometimes they just always start on the primary monitor.

So my question is this... I have a start menu on every monitor and I have the ability to turn it on and off but is there a way to configure Windows 10 so that if I start an application from the start menu on a particular monitor to have the application actual
    launch on that monitor??

I think this would be exceptionally cool.

oh, and just an observation, the snapping thing... reminds me a lot of Windows 1.0 (yes, I had a licensed copy for evaluation) where the windows couldn't overlay and you had to move them around like those tile puzzles with one open square, had a brief post
tramatic stress experience on that one.
