Windows 10: Make hidden taskbar re-appear when an app is maximized automatically without me having to...

I want to know if there's a way to make the taskbar re-appear when I maximize an app automatically and not go back to the hidden state, so I just want the taskbar to re-appear without going back to the hidden state when I maximize an app, that's it.

Touch keyboard closes immediately in certain maximized apps while taskbar is hidden

I've experienced this issue both on my Windows 10 PC, and on my Windows 11 Surface Pro 7+.

While using certain apps in a maximized window, and ONLY while the taskbar is set to hidden, if I try to open the touch keyboard (aka onscreen virtual keyboard), the keyboard pops up for a second, but almost immediately closes, making it unusable.

Apps that cause this problem include File Explorer, Word, Paint, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome. The problem occurs in both of the following instances: Virtual keyboard opened manually from the task bar, and virtual keyboard opened by tapping a text box with touch input.

Most other apps do not cause this problem, touch keyboard works fine with hidden taskbar in maximized windows using Settings, Device Manager, Edge, Control Panel and more.

I prefer to have the taskbar automatically hidden, especially on a tablet where screen space is already small. However, if I want to use the touch keyboard in many frequently used apps, notably Word, I don't have the option to hide the taskbar.

Is this a bug, or is there a settings fix?

Automatically hide taskbar stays hidden when a window is maximized

Hello, I have set my taskbar to hide automatically but sometimes when I'm using a windows in maximized state (example: Chrome) and try to move the mouse at the bottom of the screen, it won't pull up the taskbar as it should. I have to either hit "start"
key on my keyboard and then "escape" key to unhide it, or minimize the maximized window and move the mouse to the bottom of the screen to unhide it. Why is this hppening? Can I fix it somehow?
