Windows 10: Make Task Bar Search Bar Transparent

Hi,


After upgrading to Windows 10 1903, I noticed you guys split up the Cortana buttons and the Search bar ("Type here to search"). Because I am on dark windows theme and a light app theme, the search bar is a complete eye sore. It literally is a giant white box amidst a black task bar. If I select a dark app theme, the search box becomes complete black and still doesn't fit with the task bar. Regardless of what theme I select, it's still ugly.


Is there a way, registry tweak or otherwise, to set the search box to transparent and blend in with the taskbar? I know it was possible in prior versions when Cortana and the search box was integrated together, but now that they are separate, the tweaks don't seem to work.


Any help would be appreciated...

search box missing in task bar

I have cortana (whatever that is) in my list of apps but how do I get it to the task bar to make this work?

1. Right on the task bar and select
Cortana.

2. Click on Show search bar.

Check if this helps.

If you are on tablet mode, the search bar will not appear.

Hey, how can i make task bar again transparent? After windows update, It looks like this: (and yes, I clicked on transparent button.)

 

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?
