Windows 10: Making your Lockscreen Slideshow work. in Windows

After endlessly searching the forum, I finally found a solution that will make your slideshow work in Windows Tested on 11 but might work for other versions as wellThe issue here is that when your PC is locked, Windows is unable to retrieve your Wallpapers folder for obvious security reasons.So if the slideshow is either just not working or you are getting an error like "The Wallpapers folder isn't supported because of its location. Power Saving possible with Lockscreen Slideshow?

I quite like the new lockscreen slideshow but is there a reason why power saving options like sleep don't work with the lockscreen slideshow and is it possible to make it work?

Windows 10 LockScreen (IOT) slideshow - Spotlight

Lock screen can be set to slideshow with the help of the steps below on every Windows normal version, you can try the same steps on your Windows 10 (IOT).

1. To change the lock screen to slideshow, you can go to
   Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
   
2. From the Background drop down option, select
   Slideshow.
   
3. Click on Add a folder and select the image folder you have.
   

To change the Slide time to 6 seconds, you can make the changes from the registry.

1. Open registry navigate to
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Lock Screen
   
2. Right click on the Right pane and create a new
   Dword(32-bit) Value key.
   
3. Name it SlideshowDuration Double click set the value to 6000 which is 6 seconds.
   

I would also suggest you to post your query on

Windows Lockscreen Slideshow
