Windows 10: Malfunctioning left Ctrl key

I want to use my Ctrl key to process and do shortcuts when making a project. However, my left Ctrl key is giving me a problem, when I press it, it will minimize all the programs and open Cortana. Please help.

Left ctrl key malfunctioning

A few days ago my left ctrl key started malfunctioning. Whenever I press it, it gives me = instead of the function of ctrl. The right one still works as intended. The issue is with the built-in keyboard, and it started out of the blue the day they asked me to upgrade to windows 11. I didn't update at first but after a day or 2 of this issue persisting I decided to go ahead with it and nothing changed.

 

windows & Left Ctrl key malfunction.

I have been posting this on this forum all week trying to find help but it has been very unsuccessful. I have an asus PC thats been running windows 10 since it came out and as of September 17 the left Ctrl key has been toggling the system volume and the
windows key shutsdown the PC i have tried fully resetting the PC uninstalling the keyboard driver updating the driver uninstalling the USB drivers the on screen keyboard works fine and any keyboard shortcuts that involve left Ctrl still work the key board
is a onn soft touch keyboard i cant even find any drivers online for it. if any one can help please tell me what i should do because this pc cost 700 dollars and i am not prepared to buy a new one.

• Did you make any changes in your computer prior to this issue?

Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

Method 1: To check if Ctrl keys work in Onscreen keyboard.

• Press Windows Key + R and type osk and hit Enter.

Try using Ctrl keys and check if that helps.

if you still face the issue, try Method 2.

Method 2: Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Bluetooth adapter. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key + X, select
  Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
