  1. Malware and .NET 8.0 question

HelloTwo months ago a friend ask me for help with his .net 8.0 console application project, I helped him but after I discovered that his pc is infected I decided to do reset just to fell safe,Now two months later I wanted to download .net 8.0 visual studio for code training, after installing it I thought maybe if I will use .net 8.0 again the virus / malware will reactivate/ revive / come back.So what I wanted to ask is if you think that I should be afraid of installing .net 8.0 again or not ?Thanks for the answers

    :)

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.

  3. Microsoft .NET Framework, Unhandled exception

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to un-check and recheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series from Windows features.

    Try the following steps:

    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
    • Type Appwiz.cpl and select "turn Windows feature on or off" from the left
    • Uncheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
    • Restart the computer
    • Repeat step 1 and 2 and check .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
    • Restart the computer.
    Regards,
