Windows 10: Malware Hardware Serial-Number

Hello, I’ve already spoken with a microsoft agent about the malware issue on my PC. I was informed to re-install a fresh version of windows using a Usb. However, the hacker that had gained access to my pc has the serial numbers of my pc’s hardware. I’ve already reset the PC twice and disconnected it from WiFi. How should I proceed?

Serial number

The serial number should be on a sticker somewhere on the desktop.

You can also go into the BIOS to find the serial number.

I am aware of the present situation is that you can't see serial numbers on your hardware.

Typically, such serial numbers are set by the OEM manufacturer, and if your hardware information list says "To be filled by O.E.M." it means the manufacturer did not encode the serial number or other specific identifying details into the system's firmware or BIOS. This is not uncommon, especially with custom-built PCs or some pre-built systems where the manufacturer doesn't provide this level of detail.

First of all, I would suggest you check whether your current PC is sold as an OEM package, such as a notebook or a complete machine. If it is sold as an OEM package, please try to contact the OEM's after-sales support, because this is mainly provided by the OEM.

If it is a customized PC, for example, the hardware of the host computer is customized hardware, or an assembled machine. Well this is normal on a custom PC, very little information is stored in the BIOS.
