  1. MalwareBytes keeps finding RegKey in MRT DontReportDetectionInformation

The keys get quarantined and deleted but seem to be randomly reappearing. I have ran the MRT and got no detections, I also tried Defender Offline scan and Full scan and neither are reporting anything. Not sure if there is an infection or if my device is creating the issues because the behavior wasn't solved by a device restore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.PUM.Optional.DisableMRT, HKLM\SOFTWARE\POLICIES\MICROSOFT\MRTDONTREPORTINFECTIONINFORMATION, Quarantined, 6596, 676881, 1.0.54303, , ame, , , PUM.Optional.DisableMRT, HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432NODE\POLICIES\MICROSOFT\MRTDONTREPORTINFE

  2. Malwarebytes and Windows 10

Then I'll suggest you follow these steps:

    1. Press Windows Key + R to open the run dialog

    2. In the box that comes up, type services.msc and click OK

    3. In the list, find Windows Management Instrumentation, and double click it

    4. Change startup type to Automatic

    5. See if you can open Malwarebytes, if not, do a reboot.

  3. MRT scanning tool

    Hello

I just have some questions. What would happen if I delete the MRT tool and just keep Windows Defender. Also, for some reason I have stopped receiving MRT updates from Microsoft, I'm only getting Windows Defender definitions. Is that normal? Why did the MRT
updates stop coming? Also, the MRT found in the Windows 32 folder is extremely huge, what is the normal size for Windows 10 64-bit machines.

During the installation process to Windows 10 (or the recent upgrade) does Windows Firewall always on in the background? When does the Firewall exactly turn on?

  4. MalwareBytes keeps finding RegKey in MRT DontReportDetectionInformation

Windows Update March 2019 lost track of MRT running

Windows update initiated MRT and now cannot install other updates as MRT is still running (75 minutes or so) using 100% of a CPU core on a SSD system drive. Windows update says: "We can't install some updates because other updates are in progress. Restarting
your computer may help, and we'll keep trying to update."

MRT was started by windows update which seems to have lost track of the fact that it started MRT. Other than retrying manually after I see MRT is gone, any suggestions? Part of the MRT log follows:

Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool v5.70, March 2019 (build 5.70.15749.1)

    Started On Wed Mar 13 09:34:30 2019

    Signatures: 1.289.4.0

    MpGear: 1.1.15747.1

Run Mode: Scan Run From Windows Update
