    Defender disabled by Malwarebytes?

    [Merged]

Windows 10 accepts Malwarebytes as complete antivirus, and will not allow full Defender to work.

Yet, according to many searches Malwarebytes is not considered to be a complete antivirus.

I had to remove Malwarebytes from my laptop to get Defender to work fully.

Any suggestions about how to use complete Defender while running Malwarebytes

Windows Defender Malware Detection Only After Using Malwarebytes

I can be on my computer all day every day and Defender never sees or reports any "issues" until I manually start up my Malwarebytes program. Like clockwork, within two minutes - every single time, it then magically detects something only after I start up
    Malwarebytes.

What is the problem with Defender that it needs to be kick started by Malwarebytes?

Malwarebytes not detected by Windows Defender

    DEFENDER AND MALWAREBYTES

I read in a link above that Defender will disable itself if a 3rd party anti-V is installed and will re-enable itself if its uninstalled. However, I purchased Malwarebytes for 3 PCs (2 are Surface) recently and Defender is still working and even offered
me some details about its updates this morning.

    1) Can these 2 utilities get along with each other?

I purchased Malwarebytes recently when Defender did not catch a PC user in our home opening a Zepto infected document which ruined the Surface HDD documents and, via a network mapped location, got the C: drive of a desktop as well. Defender did not catch,
report or stop either attack. Nor would it detect and delete Zepto, which the free version of MalwareBytes did! Fortunately, we all use OneDrive and most of our files were safe as a result.

    2) Should Defender have detected the errant opening of that malware?

    3) Despite the company claims to the positive, I wonder if Malwarebytes would stop this?

    Thanks for any advice here.
