Windows 10: Manage-bde -pause doesn’t finish never

Hi, I am trying to pause bitlocker encryption for a 2TB external SSD disk but it doesn’t finish never. I am trying to run repair-bde but I am receiving a lot of failed to read sector at offset …..How can I copy the data to another disk? I need to restore one file for now. Many thanks.

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to fix the issue.

1. Open the command prompt as admin.
   
2. Type in manage-bde –off <drive> and hit
   Enter.
   
   manage-bde –resume <drive>
   

manage-bde –on <drive>

Replace Drive by drive letter

1. Restart the computer and check the status of the issue

How to undo "manage-bde -forcerecovery C:"?

You can try the step by step below and I will leave the link with all the information about bitlocker:

Follow these steps:

On the BitLocker recovery screen, select Skip this drive.

Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt.

Enter the following commands in the Command Prompt window:

manage-bde –unlock C: -rp <48-digit numerical recovery key>

manage-bde -protectors -disable C:

Exit the command prompt.

Shut down the device.

When you reboot the device, it should boot into Windows.
