Windows 10: Managed DND or Focus for Education to deal with notification during class hours

Our Teaching community has raised concerns about students getting distracted in class rooms with notifications and chats. We can use DND or Focus to disable these. Some teams and outlook notifications still get through. Those can be dealt with by tweaking DND settings. There is a way to achieve it - however, it needs to be done on the device by each individual. Now, good luck getting all that configured the way you want to by getting 2000+ students to change their device settings and click a button to enable them at the start of every class. Does, Microsoft [Education] have a solution for this

Notifications not working and Focus is off DND is Off and Notifications are on

Windows 11 Pro 22H2 all updates current with a phone app that had notifications appear as a banner on screen on top of other windows. While doing another task they were muted by hitting DND. Immediately after DND was disabled and the notifications will not come back. I have restarted, checked for updates, and verified that Focus is disabled (it's no longer focus assist) DND is disabled the app we're using has notification enabled with always on top banner option enabled. It seems as though the entire notification area to the right of the clock is gone and zero notifications from Outlook and other apps exist. I cannot find an option to enable that notification area. The things I found online are for versions prior to 22H2 with the latest updates that had the option to enable. The Toast option in the registry is there and set to 1. I also uninstalled the app and re-installed that's when I noticed NO apps notifications or batter appear in the notification center it is truly as if the notification center is no longer there and I cannot get it to re-appear. Anny help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Yes, here's an example of some of my prominent phone examples, among others (My bank, Reddit, Firefox, etc.) from whom I expect to receive notifications, not to mention most recently. I do get Google Task notifications, along with MIcrosoft News, (local of course) but that's it





Link to Windows was just updated. Is it possible that has anything to do with it? I just checked the notifications within my Link to Windows desktop app. The notifications I'm expecting in the action center are listed there. I just noticed this, but that 'Customize task settings on Phone Link", but selecting that only deletes the task from the action enter

I don't know why I'm seeing this, and what Firefox has anything to do with it, particularly since that the only mention there that Firefox is recognized, & I only have 6 notifications in there at the moment

I Just got a notification from Verizon. Upcoming bill reminder. It figures that one would get thru. Let's see what happens from here. *Banghead
