  1. Managed installer errors for specific devices

Hello Please i need your help on this issue. We are trying to roll out Windows Defender Application Control WDAC to the devices however, when we enabled the managed installer it is failing on some of the devices..When I export the devices status the file cuts off the line about the errors on the specific machine. It does look like an error in the C:\windows\IMECache\HealthScripts\d78c1822-e082-491a-b3a7-4a701836481e_8\remediate.ps1 file is causing the issue but we have no idea how to correct it. Please advise

    :)

Error: No work available to process

Hmm. Either it's put out errors and WCG is limiting the work units available, or the project list may not be set to supply other WU when one runs out. (if the problem lies here and not on your end)

On the options to your left, if you go into Results Status, select the computer from Device Name and then look through results see if either they were returned late, errors or any other kind of issue that would stop the servers supplying WU from that perspective.

If there are no errors then it's maybe down to your project list. So selecting Device Manager from the left menu and then clicking on the profile assigned to that computer and make sure that it's assigned to receive WU for other projects if they run out.

At least those steps will rule out problems from the WCG end.

Error Code12 for Synaptics SMBus driver in Device Manager

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you receive, “This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)” error for Synaptics SMBus Driver in Device Manager. I’ll help you with this issue.

    However, please let us know:

    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer currently? To check type:
winver in search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter
      .
    • What is the make and model of the computer?

The error (Code 12) can occur if two devices that are installed on your computer have been assigned the same I/O ports, the same interrupt, or the same Direct Memory Access channel (either by the BIOS, the operating system, or both). This error message
can also appear if the BIOS did not allocate enough resources to the device.

As you have already tried removing, uninstalling and updating the driver, I would suggest you to try checking for any hidden devices, remove them and check if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

Before proceeding with the steps, I suggest you to
    Create a system restore point
    .

    1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Click on View and select
      Show hidden devices
      .
    3. Expand Mouse and check if there is any
      hidden device.
    4. If there is any hidden device, right click on it and select
      Uninstall device.

You can also try removing Motherboard resources from Device Manager, and check if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Click on View and select
      Show hidden devices
      .
    3. Expand System Devices, locate Motherboard resources devices, right click on each of them and select Uninstall Device.

Note: If you can’t locate them, try with “PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge” or simply uninstall “PCI Bus”.
    4. Your PC might freeze after uninstalling the devices, at this moment, hold the power button of your PC to switch off the computer and then switch it on.

Let us know how it goes.
