Management of the apps in Windows 10 v1511

    Hi

In Windows 10 v1511, when I open the Microsoft Store app and go on my settings, the "Update the apps automatically" option is displayed.

From the Web, I can turn off this option so that, once finished an Windows installation, it does not automatically update its apps? If not, how do I reach my goal?

From the Administrators account, how do I add an app to all users of a computer?

From this account, it is possible to update the apps common to all users?

From this account, it is possible to prevent the update of the apps common to Users account?

    Thanks

    Bye

    :)

  2. Managed to Upgrade Windows 10 to V1511

    I finally did it...........

After numerous (and I mean numerous) lengthy attempts to update from the original Windows PRO 10.0 to v1511 I finally made it work by combining a couple of suggestions from this forum.

    What was happening

My update would get as far as copying files (30%), reboot, start the installing drivers part of the process and then I would see a flash of a white box (looked a bit like a DOS box, but it happened so quickly I couldn't be sure)
after which it restored to the previous version. As it had reverted there was no trace of what had happened that I could find.

SFC/scannow and DISM both reported no issues/violations

    What didn't work

Troubleshooter tools. The tool said files needed to be fixed and that it had fixed them, but if I ran it again immediately, I got the same result and got the same result if I ran it many times so don't know what was happening
    there.

Trying the Update from the update function, using the downloads from the Microsoft website, both using the Media Creation tool and an ISO of v1511 provided by the Microsoft helpdesk. They spent about 3 hours trying, but to no
avail. They were at the point of suggesting a clean install which meant having to re-install all of my applications, which I didn't fancy. Doing a clean boot as suggested here and then running the upgrade also did not work.

    What did work

I did a clean boot. I stopped all non-Windows services and all startups.

I re-booted the computer and looked at MSconfig again to find some of the services I that had stopped had automatically started again so I inhibited those programs. This meant uninstalling all traces of my third party internet
security tools and disabling my Nvidia video driver.

After another restart I ran MSconfig a third time to ensure
NO non-Windows services and startups were running and then ran the update from an ISO.

This worked with no problems and all I had to do was re-install my Internet security and restart my Video driver to get fully up and running.

Good Luck to anyone trying to get this to work - I have never had a problem like this when updating previous version of Windows so I wonder why Windows 10 is so sensitive. I'm also no expert so can't suggest why this worked.

  3. Managed to Upgrade Windows 10 to V1511

Thank you for sharing this, please open start and search for Feedback and open Feedback App and report this issue. Normally upgrade process should be smooth and fast and you just have to run it and then you will have Windows 10 there but in some cases,
such issue occurs and make sure to report them so Windows team could investigate and resolve the issue.
