Yes but I don't have it set up or use it.

  2. That may be why you got that option during setup though. I saw that message once on my laptop during a clean install, I declined it and haven't seen it since. No fingerprint reader on my laptop though. I'm thinking it was going to prompt me to setup with a picture ID or voice recognition.

I'm on Windows 10 Home, I can't find an option to turn it off. Hopefully an update will clear it.

Look in Settings > Accounts > Sign in options. I see "Windows Hello" there. Mine says "Windows hello isn't available on this device". I'm on my desktop PC. There is also a "See how it works...." option listed. Click that for more info.

I have done that, but there are no options to turn it off. The only setup option is for the fingerprint. I didn't choose to set it up when I updated. It has something to do with "User Device Registration" as this is the source of the warning with event ID 360.

  6. Yeah, that's weird? Just had a look on my laptop and its listed but there are no clickable options other than the See how it works? Its also saying "Windows hello isn't available on this device" on my laptop? I've done multiple installs on it trying to sort out another issue. I'm pretty sure it prompted once during one of the clean installs to set it up and use it? I have no idea what triggered it though?

I have upgraded 1 desktop and 1 laptop from AU to CU and also have one warning about Windows Hello on both devices.

    EventID 360:
Windows Hello for Business provisioning will not be launched.
Device is AAD joined ( AADJ or DJ++ ): Not Tested
User has logged on with AAD credentials: No
Windows Hello for Business policy is enabled: Not Tested
Local computer meets Windows hello for business hardware requirements: Not Tested
User is not connected to the machine via Remote Desktop: Yes
User certificate for on premise auth policy is enabled: Not Tested
Machine is governed by none policy.
See What's new in Active Directory Federation Services for Windows Server 2016 for more details.

So how to get rid of it ? Any registry hack ?

Windows Hello is not available on my devices.

Both the links given by Brink's post lead to Upgrade Assistant. I wish to download the MCT. Will somebody please provide the link?

    Hi Alpha. Long time . . .

Could the differences be between Home and Pro? I've seen where some options aren't available to turn on/off in Home.

From what I understand, if you have Windows Home, you are forced to accept Creator Update. Is this correct?

I've done a clean install of the Creators Update through the publicly released Media Creation Tool by Microsoft.
For some reason, I've been offered the following update by Windows Update:

"Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool for Windows Insider Preview and Server Technical Preview x64 - March 2017 (KB890830)"

How is this possible? Shouldn't this version not be an Inisder or Technical Preview?

  15. I "think" if it says "Windows hello isn't available on this device" there won't be any settings shown. I see the same screen on Home, Pro, and Education. The only clickable thing there is the see how it works.
