Windows 10: Managing Windows 10 Creators Update rollout for a seamless experience

Discus and support Managing Windows 10 Creators Update rollout for a seamless experience in Windows 10 News to solve the problem; From what I understand, if you have Windows Home, you are forced to accept Creator Update. Is this correct? Yes, there is no Defer Feature Updates... Discussion in 'Windows 10 News' started by Brink, Mar 29, 2017.

Yes, there is no Defer Feature Updates option in Home. Even in Pro that setting only delays it some. It won't permanently stop it from happening.

Only Pro has the option to defer updates. For Home you will eventually get it through automatic windows updates. 'Eventually' could be not for some time though, the rollout is being phased and your turn may be a long way off. As it says in post #1...
Could be months before you get yours...

What if any is the problem with letting your computer stay on 1607 14393.970 and just wait for the update sometime after the 11th?

None, many will just wait for it to arrive via Windows update. Those that can't wait do the upgrade manually.

Did you managed to resolve this? I am seeing it too. I noticed your thread was hyjacked and went completely off topic.

Yes, sort of. Only workaround right now is to disable event logging for this kind of events. Warning is most likely harmless, but right now I am not sure what else this may prevent from logging.
Navigate to Application and Services logs - Microsoft - Windows - User Device Registration - Admin and Disable Log in Actions... this should stop it.
But you know, it's not a real fix. I think we have to wait for Microsoft.

I've got this update as well after clean install, but I'm in Release preview ring now, so don't know, but I don't think there is something wrong.

Thanks, much appreciated. At least I don't have to see the log now until MS fix it.

You will get it eventually. It might be 6 months before you do if you wait for Windows Update. In the past, upgrading manually by downloading the ISO file yourself has proven to the be the most reliable method of upgrading to ensure the upgrade happens without an error. And the ISO file is likely to be the same today and six months from now, there will just be a different cumulative update that you get to bring it up to date after the initial upgrade.

Is there a chance it will be removed automatically from Windows Update eventually?
