    I'm the same as you, I like to wait for Windows update too. Neither of our machines got offered it today, we just got the cumulative .1066, flash, silverlight etc but no creators update. I texted a couple of my geek mates and neither of them got offered it via Windows update either. Looks like MS rollout is one person a day!!! Quite why they do the things that they do baffles me sometimes.

    I've just downloaded the upgrade via Windows Settings and it said it was going to be 6+ GB in size. Now it has downloaded it says it may take 90 minutes to install. Wow. How many users of broadband have unlimited and fast broadband to carry 6GB per PC? Looks like MS have done it again and produced an even more bloated OS and with so many new features I never wanted.

    Luckily got Windows 10 Creator Update instantly after release within few minutes...installing it ....though it was nearly 4 yr old Laptop...faced a small hiccup initially
    My manufacturer HP placed some Bios update files in EFI Partition which lead to lack of space in EFI Partition & denial of update......sorted it out by deleting language folders which i dont need..& windows update started successfully as of now ....but just in case.. can u ppl please clarify, can i delete 'BIOS Update' sub folder in BIOS folder ? BIOS.img is a seperate file available stating current bios ...so i think may be files in Bios update folder are just leftovers ...any suggestion who has HP laptop

    5 hours download and install 22gb old windows roll back. System is stable. Upated from mct. Once you start the update from that service do not shut down or turn your computer off. It will definitely take awhile to install.

    You must have use the MCT's 'upgrade this PC' option. That works the same way as the Upgrade Assistant, once started best left to get on with it.

    Most of that five hours would have bethe download. That's why I prefer to use the MCT to 'make media for another PC' to make a .iso or USB. That way you know the download was successful before you start the upgrade. The actual upgrade itself should take less than an hour. You also get to keep the install media, useful for a reinstall/clean install/use on another PC.
