Windows 10: Many BSODs, I *think* while Chrome running.

Discus and support Many BSODs, I *think* while Chrome running. in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; See attached BSOD SURFACE-BOOK-1-Sun_02_18_2018__93157_92.zip information.     This has been happening for several weeks. I cannot seem to pin it down. Sometimes happens a lot, sometimes not for days. Restored to restore point a couple of times, still happens. Been uninstalling things here and there to no avail. Any recommendations welcome!

    BSOD While Playing Youtube Videos on Chrome (Windows 10)

    Hi everyone,

    I have been getting frequent, but irregularly timed, BSOD when streaming youtube videos. Any other video service does not cause this problem. The error is DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION when the BSOD happens. I have searched through forums already in attempts to
    troubleshoot this myself. My laptop is an Asus X555LA with windows 10.

    I have already tried:

    updating drivers

    monitoring with the task manager (no odd spikes or anything)

    reinstalling a previous driver for compatibility potential (did not work)

    turning off fast startup

    reinstalling chrome

    rebooting the computer many many times

    virus scans

    Any help would be appreciated, it has been quite the learning experience but I am out of ways to try to tackle this problem!

    OK, I decided to use OneDrive anyway.

    I mentioned earlier that I was using Google Chrome when the BSODs occurred. I did not run these reports while having Chrome open, as I almost immediately get a BSOD under these circumstances.

    Due to the different crashes I believe this to be an issue that needs physical replacement.
    The hard drive related events could indicate hard drive issues, but you would be very lucky if the hard drive would be the sole cause.

    • check the health,
    • scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
    • run a benchmark.
    It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
    When above is done please make screenshots of the following
    • the health,
    • the error scan,
    • the benchmark incl. following
      • transfer rate,
      • access time,
      • burst rate,
      • cpu usage.
