Windows 10: Maono USB microphone AU-PM421 not working with Windows 11

I have a Maono USB condenser mic. It was working fine with my Acer laptop and Windows 10. After the update to Windows 11 it just distorts and is unusable, whatever app is used to record. I've tried tweaking all the mic settings, removing/reinstalling the mic, etc and no change. The mic still works fine as I can use it on my old laptop so the issue is something to do with the Windows 11 update. The manufacturer doesn't provide drivers to download so I'm stuck and unable to use it. Is there a way to fix this?Many thanks.

analog Microphone not working in windows 8.1

i have a dell laptop with windows 8.1 OS. i purchased a analog microphone Model: maono AU 400. when i connect it to my laptop the device is not connected nor showing. the following things are i did.

1. i have checked all the fields in sound option.
2. only internal microphone displays not external. i connected with both TRS & TRRS no improvement.
3. realtek hd manager also installed no use.
4. i have tried all the possibilities, but i couldn't able to get the maono microphone work on LAPTOP.
5. but the microphone works fine with i phone 6s.
6. i think the problem is with driver but i dont know how to do it. kindly help.

 

Sennheiser GSP 350. Microphone stops working when I open any game

Wow, ok. I think I've fixed it by accident while fiddling around.

It appears to be the Realtek audio being the issue here. I don't use my onboard sound card as my headset is a USB headset only and my speakers are plugged into an ASUS sound card.

Step by step fix:

• I went into recording devices
• I enabled STEREO MIX (Realtek High Definition Audio)
• Then I set that Stereo Mix as the DEFAULT DEVICE (At this point it took over both input and output devices without my permission )
• Then set my Sennheiser headset as default recording and playback devices in their respective windows even though they both still said they were the default devices when they weren't

Headset microphone is currently functioning while in game now. I'll update the thread if it goes again. Should I completely disable Realtek audio??? Or will windows just force it to work again?

This issue could have happened due to settings of your Microphone. To resolve your issue, we suggest that you check your Microphone is not disabled and set as default. You can follow these steps to check your microphone settings:

• Right click on the volume icon and select “Recording devices”.
• Now, right click on an empty space and select, “Show disconnected devices” and “Show disabled devices”.
• Select “Microphone” and click on “Properties” and make sure that the microphone is enabled.
• You may also check if the microphone that you are using is set as default.
