Windows 10: Map dot Windows dot Com Authenticity

Dear MSCSI have been getting this notification from my "Internet Security Application" that the "authenticity cannot be guaranteed" for map.windows.com and given the option to disconnect or continue.When I look place the domain into my browser, it cannot be reached.Should I continue or disconnect this authorisation?

If you want, we can do a step by step troubleshooting of your current situation:

If you are able to ping your Machine and it responds.

Try to view if your NAS appears on the Network List:

If Your NAS appears on the list, try to view it:

The available shares will be listed there.

Then Try to List the content of one of the directories:

This should list the content of the directory,

If all this works Try to map a drive on one share:

Pls reply with the "response" of the first "encounter" of a non positive output.

This exercise should reveal if you have a Network or Protocol or Cipher or Authentication problem.

 

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

Hello.

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?

• Click on Start; then, Settings.
• Select Maps; then, Storage Locations.
• Click on the Change where you store offline maps drop down menu and choose the
  new location.
