  1. Map Network Drive fails to find my WD Mycloud NAS drive

Hi Guys,I am the proud owner of a Brand New HP All in one PC running windows 11.I am trying to map my NAS Drive and also Drive C: on my existing HP All in one PC without success. On the New PC when I select "This PC" I can see both my current Dive C: my old PC HEWLETPACKARD and my WDMycloud Drive. Then I click the 3 dot menu and select "Map Network Drive" In the next box I click Browse In the Browse for Folder window, my old PC HEWLETPACKARD appears after a few seconds, but no sign of my NASWhen I click HEWLETPACKARD I get an error message "Windows cannot access \\HEWLETPACKARD" and the Err

  2. Deleting Mapped network drive

I have all my music files on a WD MyCloud drive which is connected to my home network. I previously mapped my M:/ drive to the music folder on my MyCloud drive via it's IP address. Then the IP address of the MyCloud drive changed and the drive showed as
disconnected. But the drive's contents are still readable and writable by windows explorer But now I cannot disconnect the drive (This Network Connection Does Not Exist) And the drive no longer appears in the list of mappable drive letters under Map a Network
drive. My question is how do I delete this disconnected network drive so I can re-map it again with the correct URL.

***Original title: Previously mapped network drive now showing as disconnected but is still readable and writable.***

  3. Can't open WD NAS drives after update KB4034674

    Windows 10 Home, v 1703, build 15063.540

My NAS devices ( WD EX4100 and WD MyBook Live Duo 8TB ) both display as a device in Explorer, but can't be opened ( to view files / folders ) in File Explorer since the Aug 8 update. The WD NAS admin page is available via browser from the same PC, and streams
media successfully. I can't map them with the \\devicename\share names, and existing shares with \\devicename\share can't be opened. Both drives are static IP, and their configurations have not changed in months.

If I click either drive listed under the Network section, Explorer's status bar slowly fills for a minute and then displays:

    Error code 0x80070035

The network path was not found

If I try to map a drive, the device names are listed in the Map Network Drive dialog, but the Browse for Folder times out as above

  4. Map Network Drive fails to find my WD Mycloud NAS drive

Accessing NAS (WD MyCloud) not possible from Windows 10 Explorer

I have searched for this question but all posts were not answering the question. But I'd like to have another try.

Connecting from Windows to a WD MyCloud NAS drive didn't work any more after Windows 10 upgrade. It seems to have something to do with the explorer.

    1) Case 1: A network drive on the NAS is password protected (username password on the MyCloud)

    - Using the "old" net use functionality allows to connect to the drive and then it will show-up in Explorer.

    - Trying the same from explorer, it ends up in asking for username and password. Although username and password were entered correctly, it does not connect.

    2) Case 2: Another network drive on the NAS is set to "public" and neither a username nor a password is required to connect.

A connection from Windows 10 is then not possible. Net use as well as Explorer asks for usernames. Leaving it blank is not accepted by Windows 10 and the connection fails. Maybe there is a security option somewhere, that prevent connections to public, unsecured
    network drives?

In the past with previous Windows versions (Windows 7, Windows 10 before some updates), it worked correctly and connecting to the NAS worked fine. Has anyone solved that problem?

    Best regards,

    Lars.
