    I recently got a new laptop with Windows 11 pro. I set it up connected to my work MS365 account and set up PIN for easier login to the machine. When I log in with the MS password, no problems with mapped drives. When I log in with PIN, it cannot connect to the mapped drives. I've tried removing all saved Windows Credentials and adding them fresh when logged in with the PIN and no luck still.I have a Win 10 Pro laptop that uses PIN and no issues with mapped drives. I also have a Win 11 Home laptop that uses PIN and also no issue.I see lots of references to this PIN issue. Why should how I lo

    Mapped Drives Issues

    To clarify .... the issue is the Windows 10 OS. It is with Windows File Explorer. The Mapped drives used to appear in File Explorer's left panel list of drives and folders. Two days ago File explorer stopped show the mapped drives. so not they don;t appear in the list of Drives and folders.

    I did, it has no effect. I also check the NAS devices they support SMB 2.0. Also I have several other computers on my home network they work fine with the mapped drives and They do not have SMB 1 turned on. So it is something that happened to the computer in question.

    Windows 10 password pin stopped working

    Hi,

    To better assist you, please answer the following questions:

    • Are you able to start up your device up to the desktop screen?
    • After doing the password reset, what error message are you getting?
    • Are you able to log in to your account using a password instead of a pin?

    In the meantime, if you are able to start up your device up to the desktop screen you may follow the steps to Remove Pin:

    Go to Settings.

    Under Accounts, click on Sign in options and select
    Remove PIN.

    After removing your PIN (this will require your password to do this), then you may click
    Add PIN. Follow the steps to add a PIN.

    NOTE: You may use the same PIN you have been using.

    After doing so, log out of your account and sign back in using your PIN.

    Password to PIN change for log in to pc

    I had my PC to log in with PIN, this has now changed to password and I cannot change it back to PIN in settings. Also I had another family member on my account (child) and he is unable to log in with either password or pin (previously PIN) and forgot password function is not working.
