Mapped Drives Not Visible in Windows Explorer

Hey All,we have multiple Windows 11 clients connected via an on-premise Microsoft Active Directory system. We have a group policy object for mapping 3 network drives that is working successfully. We have used this same object without changes for several years. The problem is that recently a handful of clients are not displaying the mapped drives. if I open windows explorer and go through the "Map a network drive" dialogue, I can see that the 3 drive letters in question are showing as mapped correctly. But within windows explorer, I do not see the mapped drives and cannot browse to them via dri

Mapped Drives not showing in File Explorer

    Hi Michael Lynch (mlynch),

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. I understand that you are experiencing an issue with mapped drives not showing in File Explorer on your new Surface Pro 9.

Based on the information you have provided; it seems that you have already tried some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. However, there are still some other steps that you can try to fix the problem.

Here are some additional steps that you can follow:

    1. Check if the mapped drives are visible in Disk Management. To do this, right-click on the Start button and select Disk Management. If the mapped drives are visible, right-click on them and select Change Drive Letter and Paths. Then, assign a drive letter to the mapped drives.

    2. Check if the mapped drives are visible in the Command Prompt. To do this, open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type "net use" without the quotes. This will show you a list of all the mapped drives on your device. If the mapped drives are not visible, try remapping them using the "net use" command.

    3. Check if the mapped drives are visible in the Group Policy Editor. To do this, open the Group Policy Editor by typing "gpedit.msc" without the quotes in the Search box. Then, navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer. Make sure that the "Hide these specified drives in My Computer" policy is not enabled.

    4. Check if the mapped drives are visible in the Registry Editor. To do this, open the Registry Editor by typing "regedit" without the quotes in the Search box. Then, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer. Make sure that the "NoDrives" value is not set.

    Mapped Drives Issues

To clarify .... the issue is the Windows 10 OS. It is with Windows File Explorer. The Mapped drives used to appear in File Explorer's left panel list of drives and folders. Two days ago File explorer stopped show the mapped drives. so not they don;t appear in the list of Drives and folders.

I did, it has no effect. I also check the NAS devices they support SMB 2.0. Also I have several other computers on my home network they work fine with the mapped drives and They do not have SMB 1 turned on. So it is something that happened to the computer in question.
