Windows 10: Mapped drives reconnecting only to local account: Windows 10

On my desktop running Windows 10Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 Installed on ‎8/‎6/‎2020 OS build 19042.1466 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0 I log in using a local account and my husband using his Microsoft account to log in.We were having an issue w/our mapped drives disconnecting.I changed the settings to force Windows to wait for network. I also disabled fast start up.Now the mapped drives reconnect in my local account.But they are disconnected in my husband's Microsoft account. Not sure what to do.

Mapped Network Drive Disconnects and Will Not Reconnect

OS:Windows 10 V20H2
PC: Dell XPS8940
Router: Netgear R7000 w/ TomatoUSB

• Nine of ten mapped network drives on my desktop PC behave normally! The tenth is a problem. It is mapped to the USB drive connected to my router.
• Sometimes (days) I cannot connect to this mapped drive and it fails to reconnect. At that point I can still connect to this drive from ALL other devices on my Workgroup LAN. None of those devices have the drive mapped!
• For a short time, using "Net Use" shows the drive trying reconnect. Later it says "Disconnected".
• The only way I have found to reconnect to that drive is to perform:
  1. net use U: /delete
  2. net use U: \\HARENET-HD\data
• This problem has started within the last several months. Maybe it's related to a Windows update??

Help would be appreciated!

Hard drive/ OS issue

• shutdown
• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD
• restarted
• yay !!

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown
