Windows 10: Maps App Was Signed Out When I Saved Favorite Spots, Now When I Sign In, They All...

I have been traveling using my Windows Phone and Windows 10 Maps App. I have been marking spots I NEED to get back to along the way.


However I noticed under settings that I was not signed in and items were not syncing over to my maps app on Surface Go LTE,


Now when I sign in the points on the map that I need all disappear. But when I sign back out they come back.


I REALLY need these points on the map saved. Do I have to do it manually? Major pain if so, please advise if you know how to fix this.

Unable to Save Favorites in Maps app

Computer

• What is the make and model of your Computer?
• Have you installed all the pending updates on your computer?
• Which Windows 10 build is installed on the computer?
• What happens when you try to save the favorites?
  
• Do you get any error message or code?

At first you have to sign in using a Microsoft account, if you have not logged the saved favorite’s will be not be visible next time when you open Map app.Also make sure Date, Time and Region are
set correctly.

Suggest you to follow below steps to save your favorite location on you Maps app on your computer.

• Open Map App, Search for the location.
• On the left pane Click on the Star Icon to save your favorite place.

If you are still unable to save favorites on your computer follow the below methods.

Method 1: I suggest you to run Windows Store apps troubleshooter from the below Microsoft Help Article and check if it helps.

• What happens when you try to save the favorites?
  
• Do you get any error message or code?

• Make sure Date, Time and Region are set correctly, try to restart your phone and check if will be able to Save the Favorite location.
• Also check if there are any update available for this from Store>Menu>Downloads and updates>Check for updates.

Suggest you to follow below steps to save your favorite location on you Maps app on your computer.

Great, that means that your favorites are not lost and just that for some reason the Maps app is failing to display them. Have you tried signing out and back in again?

Currently there's no way to export the favorites or to print them from the Maps app unfortunately. Feel free to submit those suggestions through the Feedback hub app so that others can upvote them too.

 

Map favorites missing

I can't seem to get my map favorites to appear on my phone anymore. I can ask cortona to get me to one of my favorites, but the favorites themselves don't appear on the map or in my list of favorites on my phone. When I tap on the favorites star my favorites
list pops up and says at the top"sign in to sync your favorites across devices and apps". I am signed in with the correct account. I can even add a uniquely named favorite in the maps app on my desktop PC and ask my phone how to get there, but I can't see
it on my phone without asking for directions. I can also add a new favorite on the phone that will only appear on my phone. I'd just like to see my favorites from my phone again.
