Windows 10: Marlett font problem

Hi,Some time at the beginning of the year, something strange happened.Suddenly, e.g., in menus, symbols like that for closing and a submenu in a context menu were missing.For a long time, I searched and tried sfc and dism more than once to no avail.Now, by chance, I found that these symbols are not icons but consist of characters of the system font marlett.ttf.But I found no tool that could repair it because the font file itself is not defect. I tested it against an about 2 years old one of a system backup.Does anybody have an idea what the problem is? Could it be a defect within the registry?

UPDATE: I finally fixed this.

There is a registry key (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts) that must match up with the fonts folder. If the registry key and the folder don't match, NO fonts can be displayed, so the system uses the Marlett font as a final resort.
Fixing the registry key fixed everything for me!

My desktop, Control Panel, File Explorer, Taskbar, and all desktop apps appear in an icon font called Marlett

Text is illegible.

Modern Apps like Microsoft Edge and the Windows Store, and the Start menu are NOT affected.

• Right click and click on install.
• Check if you are able to view the fonts in documents.

Step 2:

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click on fonts.
• Now, drag and drop the downloaded fonts in the font’s folder.
