    Mashing keys now brightness is screwed


    Hello, I was having some issues trying to play a game streaming through the xbox app so I was hitting all sorts of keys on my keyboard. One combination has seemed to have maxed out the brightness on my second monitor and not just that, the brightness keeps changing creating this strobing effect that really hurts my eyes. How can I fix this and get my monitor back to how it was before?

    Hi, There's a the slider for brightness at the bottom of the Action Centre (build 1903).

    If you'd be prepared to consider an alternative... how about smooth control of brightness using your scroll wheel?
    Press a key, plus scroll, and adjust your brightness.

    The key and the steps are your choice.

    Oh, and it can adjust volume similarly.

    Works nicely on my Lenovo Thinkpad, where the Fn key steps for brightness are a bit harsh.

    Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

    Hi Ella,

    To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

    • Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
    • See if you can adjust the brightness.

    If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

    Function key will not work correctly when setting up brightness.

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Do you face the issue with only brightness?

    The special keys like Fn key with the options to change brightness or to reduce sound are provided by the laptop manufacturer.

    We would suggest you to update or download the software from the computer manufacturer website.
