Massive "ESD" Folder Appears After Update and After 10 days Deleting the Previous Update...

Before making this post, I tried researching, looking for similar issues others had and waited 14/10 days for the popup about deleting previous Windows update files to appear and nothing happened/worked/I didn't want to risk.Around the 11th or 12th, I updated my laptop and after it came to, I noticed I had a large chunk of storage disappear. It didn't seem to be my concurrent issue about mystery temporary files taking up storage so I just thought it was leftover update files I should wait for it to auto delete. After a few days, my storage stayed the same and that's when I researched about whe

  2. Disk bloat in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

Is it my imagination, or does the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update consume an additional 20-30GB of disk space over the previous Creators Update release? Unfortunately, I didn't log my disk usage before the upgrade, but now my C: drive has 56GB of stuff, and I know it wasn't anywhere near that full before. I've run "Disk Cleanup -> Clean up system files" and selected everything on the list, including remove previous version of Windows. I also emptied my Recycle Bin, my Temp folder, \Windows\Temp folder, and \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. Finally, I ran Wise Disk Cleaner to delete assorted application garbage.

Has anyone else noticed the bloat in Fall Creators Update?

    ESD Folder

Someone somewhere should be able to enlighten me with the purpose of this folder. From what little I know it got created from my last force-able download from Windows 10. Somehow many of my normal files disappeared from my C Drive and I am now trying to
copy and paste from the ESD folder. Windows does not support any help with this and suggested I find a good company to try and fix this horrendous problem.

My simple question is when Windows decides to drop another new installation does it delete the existing files located in my ESD file?

Does it then create new files into an empty ESD folder?

Any help or knowledge would be so appreciated before I go crazy.
