Windows 10: Massive lag and computer issues.

About a month or so ago my computer started lagging. Nothing happened, just randomly started. It was so bad that I couldn't even watch Youtube videos or talk with my friends. Even the windows sounds lag when I bring up the control panel. Since then I tried scanning with multiple virus scanners, I've used Ccleaner, I've changed system settings with regedit, changed my file sizing settings, made sure all of my drivers are up to date. I even did a clean install and although after that it is tolerable. I can at the very least watch Youtube and use Discord at the same time. However when I try to pl

Random lag spikes

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

• What is the make and model of the system?
• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?
• Is this issue specific, when you run games?

I suggest you to try below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the System and Maintenance Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with system performance and maintenance.

Follow below steps:

• 
  Right click on Start
  button, select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the System and Maintenance
  troubleshooter
  

If the above method doesn’t helps, I suggest you to try below method and check.

Method 2: Install pending Windows updates.

Check if there are any pending Windows updates and install them as well.

Refer the steps bellow

  Click on Start button, open Settings.

  Click Update & security.
  
• 
  Under Windows updates, click
  Check for Updates.
  
• 
  Follow the onscreen instructions.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
