Windows 10: matshita dvd rom "uj8d3" not burning dvd

Hi I updated my window in February/march to the latest window 10 version 21h2. The driver got updated to Matshita DVD Rom UJ8d3. A month before the update, I was burning my CDs using verbatim on my sony vaio laptop vf15a13cdb, with no problems. After the update, the error I keep getting is the disc writes speed is too slow or too fast and the burn cancel.I have rebooted my computer, cleaned my driver, uninstalled the driver, and updated my computer again.no change, can’t burn.I need to change the matshita driver, or install a new driver and associated software to recognize my disc.how can I do

In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things.

• What is the exact error message are you getting while burning the CD?
• Which software are you using to burn the CD/DVD?
• Are you able to read the contents of the CD/DVD from your CD/DVD drive?
  

I suggest you check if there is any update to the software that you are using to burn the CD/DVD. Also I suggest you to use different CD/DVD to burn and check if it helps.

  Do you get the error while you try to attach photo to an email through Email app/browser?
  

Kindly follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: To burn DVD.

• 
  Insert the DVD which you want to burn before proceeding to below steps.
  
• 
  Open Start menu, type
  Windows media player in search bar and click on Windows media player from the search bar results. (Click on Recommended settings if you are opening the Windows media player for the first time)
  
• 
  Click on the Burn tab at top right corner on the Windows media player window.
  
• 
  Open the files which you want to burn to DVD by browsing the location from the left navigation pane in Windows media player.
  
• 
  Select the items which you want to burn to DVD, drag and drop the files to the Burn DVD section.
  
• 
  Now click on the Start burn under the Burn tab.
  
• 
  One the DVD has burned, you may eject the DVD.
  

Step 2: Install latest updates.

Install the latest available Windows updates.

  Open the Start menu and type
  Windows update in the search bar.
  
• 
  Click on Windows update and
  Check for the updates.
  
• 
  Download and install if there are any pending updates to be installed.
