Windows 10: matshita uj8e1 DVD not working and missing some stuff..

This was my husband's computer that I got him back around 2014. It still works I can facebook but there are a few problems. The big one is that the DVD drive doesn't work. This started when one of the big major updates for WIN10 came out and he said it stopped working. When I got him a new one, I said I would take this one ASUS X551M I think it is until it dies. Nothing wrong with it, other than this stuff.




Other issue: I'm missing things see pic below I have done a fresh reset, tried to use all the coding to get it to work and still, I'm missing just about everything that I like to have on a computer. No store, camera... HELP!

Have the same problem on my ASUS notebook K95V,

Cannot use the DVD writer/reader.

Any suggestions are more than welcome

I looking in Device Manager my device MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ8E1 on Other Devices.

I tray update driver software and i find driver on mode "Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software".

I can't find driver MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ8E1.

Messages: Windows was unable to install your MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ8E1.

Windows could not find driver software for your device.

My Laptop is ASUS X45U, AMD E2-1800, 1,7 GHZ, Memory 4 GB HDD 500 GB.

Can you help me??? Fixed my problem.

My Gateway / Matshita DVD Ram UJ8E1 Is Not Working With Windows 10 and Cannot Find Driver Update.

Upgraded from Windows 8.1
