Windows 10: Max File Explorer Thumbnail Image Size?

While set to \"Extra Large Icons\", the Thumbnail size remains the same as \"Large Icons\" while spacing simply grows

I have performed the following:

• Did the obvious File Explorer->View Ribbon->Extra Large Icons but all it does is change the size of spacing between icons while the thumbnail size remains the same as Large Icons
• went into the registry, Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer, and created/modified ThumbnailSize to 256 (and 512)
• went into registry, Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer, and created/modified Max Cached Icons to 4096
• restarted windows each time i edited the registry

My laptop has:

• Display resolution: 3840x2160
• Scale and Layout "Change the size of text, apps, and other items": 250% (recommended)
• performed disk cleanup->Delete thumbnails cache every time I made a change

Is there a solution for this yet? Thank you

In Windows 10, how can I enlarge thumbnail size?

Even after selecting Extra large icons, the thumbnails are too small for me to discern the images. I completed the steps for:

1. Option 1: 'To Turn On Thumbnail Previews in File Explorer'.
   
2. Changing Image Thumbnail Size per this Registry Hack Method.
   

But my thumbnails have not enlarged.

 

File Explorer - Some PDF's show thumbnail image, some don’t

In Windows 10 File Explorer, I see thumbnails for a few of my pdf files but still see the generic Adobe pdf icon for most of them.

• In Windows 10 folder options, the checkbox for “Always show icons, never thumbnails” is unchecked.
• On the Adobe Reader preferences general tab, “Enable PDF thumbnails previews in Windows Explorer” is checked.
• Adobe Acrobat is set as my default PDF viewer.
• I have used Disk Cleanup to delete all my thumbnails to clear and rebuild the cache, yet the problem persists.

Any suggestions on how I can see all the pdf icons as thumbnails?
Windows 10 Pro, Version 1903, Build 18362.657
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (20.006.20034)

Windows 10 Picture Files not updating thumbnails

Hi,

I realize that the picture files are not updating thumbnails. I will try to help you with this issue.

Suggest you to perform “Disk Cleanup”, cleaning up the temporary internet files, thumbnail, cookies and temp files, so as to check the thumbnail view of the photo is updated by cleaning up your temporary data.

Further, if the issue persists then you can also follow these steps:

• 
  Right click in the Folder that contains the images.
  
• 
  Select View.
  
• 
  Note the current icon size, and change it to another size (ie: "Medium-Icons" to "Large-Icons", then back to "Medium-Icons").
  
• 
  This causes the icons to be resized and their cache updated.
