Windows 10: Maximize window on multiple monitors setup maximizes across all monitors.

Hi,I have a setup where my laptop is attached to 2 additional monitors, so now I have a 3 monitor setup.Sometimes when I have a window and click the maximize button, instead of maximizing on the active monitor, it maximizes it across all 3 monitors. which makes it completely unusable.This happens on any type of window: teams, browser,...This sometimes happens, but often also doesn't, and if it happened, I simply cannot reproduce it to try and find anything.Is this a known bug? or is this some kind of strange setting I might be missing?

Can't maximize apps on monitor #2

I have 2 monitors, both of which worked fine on Win 10. I moved to a different PC and Win 11. The new computer has both a Display Port (DP) and HDMI port. Both monitors are HDMI, so I purchased a DP to HDMI adapter.

I’m unable to maximize any app on monitor #2. The maximized window is too big for the monitor; i.e., I can’t see the top, bottom or either side.

I have:

• Reversed the monitors, so that the DP and adapter cable are driving the opposite monitor
  
• Installed new monitor drivers
  
• Read through the website Microsoft Community Display and Graphics site.
  

The problem follows monitor #2—any app I’ve tried won’t maximize on monitor #2 but works fine on monitor #1.

Dragging maximized window to lower monitor loses maxmization

I run a triple monitor setup, side by side. I can drag a maximized window from monitor to monitor. If I just drop it in the center its not maximized. If I bump it to the top it maximizes.

 

Maximized window bleeding onto other monitors

Hey guys, wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this issue.

Here's a picture of what I'm dealing with. I've been dealing with this for a while but recently I just can't stand it.





I have a three-monitor setup with two smaller monitors spanning over top of the bigger monitor. Any time I maximize a window on the main monitor, it bleeds over onto the other two monitors proportionally to the size of the main one; you can see this in the form of the white strip running across the bottom of the other two monitors. The weird thing is that the bleeding edges are white yet the color of the maximized window on the main monitor is black. This issue does not occur if I maximize a window on either of the other two monitors, just the main one. This issue also doesn't occur if I hover a non-maximized window right to the edge of the main monitor, only when maximized. I'm assuming this is some kind of bug.

Trying to fix this with display settings does nothing. I remember a while back I somehow fixed the issue with DisplayFusion's monitor configuration tool, but I don't remember what I did and trying again has failed to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.
